Here at the Tutoring Center, we wanted to share some important and exciting info:

1. Updated tutoring info in Canvas shells:  Thanks so much to all of you who have been linking tutoring info on your Canvas shells; we appreciate the partnership! We have recently updated our info. Previously, there was a tab linking students to “eTutoring,” which is not a Chemeketa-only tutoring resource but rather a consortium that supplements our in-house services. We have updated that to a “Tutoring” tab that will now link students to Chemeketa-specific tutoring info, including access to eTutoring. If you haven’t previously had a link to tutoring in your Canvas shell, please consider taking a moment to add “Tutoring” in your Navigation settings in Canvas now.

2. Students book tutoring appointments through Navigate; we have “how-to” videos!: Just a reminder that as of fall term, all our tutoring is by appointment. Please take a couple of minutes to watch these short videos for a quick guide to booking a session. Also, if we have not traditionally had tutors in your discipline, but you think your students would benefit from having tutors available, please reach out to us at tutor@chemeketa.edu or 503.399.5190.

3. The Tutoring Center on the Salem Campus has moved and is now located upstairs in Building 9, inside the library. Come visit us! We’re open Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-6 pm, and Friday, 9 am-4 pm. Students can book appointments for in-person tutoring at Salem, YVC, Woodburn and Polk, as well as remote appointments for all students.
