As part of our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment, Chemeketa is implementing two crucial training courses regarding ADA Compliance and Digital Accessibility:

  • Faculty Guide to ADA Compliance in Higher Ed

  • ADA/504 Digital Accessibility: Digital Accessibility in the Classroom

These courses are essential for our college to maintain compliance with federal regulations and to fulfill our voluntary compliance plan with the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and the Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development (CCWD), which indicates we shall not exclude students with disabilities from academic programs or benefits and clarify the process for requesting accommodations

We recognize that this adds to your already full workload and sincerely appreciate your dedication to our students’ success. Your participation is vital. Enhancing our understanding and implementation of accessibility practices will not only meet legal requirements but also significantly improve the overall learning experience for all students.

Accessing Training Courses

Courses are accessed through Percipio. Sign into SSO (https://login.chemeketa.edu) and click on the Percipio tile. Instructions for accessing assigned training are available in this FAQ.

Faculty have 45 days from the date of assignment to complete the training.

For our full-time faculty, this training is part of your regular employment responsibilities. Part-time faculty will be compensated for two hours upon completion of both courses. Completion of training will be tracked in Percipio and compensation will be processed automatically on your behalf.

Your efforts in this area will have a lasting positive impact on our college community and the success of our diverse student body.
